Review on Ouidad Nourishing Oil Cleanser ($25/8.5oz) & Ouidad Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner & Styling Primer ($26/8oz)
Ouidad Nourishing Oil:
I like it. It’s a low poo and it really did get my scalp clean without stripping my hair of it’s natural oils. I was able to get rid of the little bit of build-up I had and it also removed the excess color that my cowash could not remove from the day I colored.
It smells like cough syrup to me, it’s not a bad scent, but it’s not my favorite scent. I do see myself continuing to use this because I do need a low poo from time to time to get a deep clean.
Ouidad Whipped Curls:
I also like this product. It can be used a regular wash out conditioner or use it as a primer to other products. I used it in place of my normal leave in (PM the Conditioner). It’s has a very thick consistency. And it’s very moisturizing. And a little does go a long way.
I hate the smell. It’s very strong and it lingers. It’s the definition of perfumey. However, the smell does become faint after a day.
I was able to recreate my normal style with both of these products and they both mixed well with the products that I already love.
Both products are Modified Curly Girl Approved.
Products used to get this style:
Shampoo: Ouidad Nourishing Cleansing Oil
Conditioner: Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat
Leave-in: Ouidad Whipped Curls Daily Conditioner
Sealant: Carol’s Daughter Hair Balm
Styler: EcoStyler Argan Oil
I scrunched out the crunch (SOC) with a little Jamaican Black Castor Oil (which is very heavy. I just wanted to see how it would work for my hair. I like it. I hate the smell though) which is new because normally I SOC with Coconut Oil.
Overall, I would recommend both products.
